Engines of EV charger

A charging station, also known as electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE), is a device that supplements electric energy for electric vehicles. It can be fixed on the ground or walls, which is just the same as gas stations used by fuel vehicles. It is usually installed in parking lots of public buildings or residential areas with various charging types to fulfill different electric vehicles and voltage levels.

Charging piles can be classified into AC charging and DC charging, according to the output current provided. Fast charging piles are usually DC piles, though not all of DC piles are fast charging.

The mainstream in the market

Today, more and more EV charging are installed at residences and workplaces to satisfy the booming of electric cars. It is an opportunity to the solution providers of EV charger to come out a cost-effective station to fulfill the market expansion. The control unit under RISC platform for HMI of EV chargers becomes the mainstream in the market.

Dedicated to industrial computers both in X86 and ARM platforms

Mitwell has been dedicated to industrial computers both in X86 and ARM platforms and implemented the RISC computing board into the HMI of DC EV chargers. Our MIES-PH8354-EVC with TI AM3354 processor provides a good computing performance and supports LVDS 7″ displays, 2x USB 2.0, 1x GbE Lan port, 5x 10/100Mbps Lan ports, SIM card socket and 3G/4G module for the wireless network.

The multi-LAN functions

The multi-LAN functions in DC EV chargers allow the least equipment to achieve information streaming and transmit the data scattered by charging piles in various places including customer payment information, charging status, equipment health status and so on to realize an efficient management.
