MiTwell Releases Intel® Arria® 10 FPGA SmartNIC

A Programmable High Performance Computing Solution Based on Arria® 10 GX Low Profile PCIe Card with Dual SFP+ Network Ports

Taipei, Taiwan– Since the term AI and Big Data are no longer buzzwords, the increasing demand to rely on the insights of the enormous amounts of data has strongly driven the growth of the data centers and led to the need of a new approach to the software-defined hardware solution.

High density, high performance and low power consumption are the key factors in servers and data centers. MiTwell recently introduced a FPGA accelerating card, MIES-XH5A10-NIC, which integrates Intel® Arria® 10 GX 1150 in SmartNIC to essentially improve the system computing performance. It also offers two thermal solutions, allowing customers to select the suitable one according to their server and workstation environment.

MIES-XH5A10-NIC is designed in a low-profile PCIe G3x8 form factor with comprehensive power-saving Intel Arria® 10 FPGA, hard floating-point DSP blocks and 1.5 TFLOPS. The board offers on board 8GB DDR4 memory, and two front panel SFP+. It also features Max 10® for implementing BMC and DES Encryption Protection, which enables better management in server and alleviates security concern in user’s IP (Intellectual Property) protection. With MiTwell’s support of OpenCL BSP, customers can easily use C language to implement their development needs. MiTwell SmartNIC has currently been well deployed in Genome Sequencing, Big Data Analytics, Network Acceleration and Data Center.
