You must know it – OSM

OSM (Open Standard Modules)

The Open Standard Module (OSM) established by SGET in December 2020 is the latest industrial standard of system-on-module. The main advantages of OSM are solderable directly on board and scalable stamp-sized module. The OSM allows developing, producing, and distributing embedded modules for the most of MCU32, ARM and x86 architectures.

4 Different size

In the OSM standard, there are four different size of form factors: Zero, Small, Medium, and Large, which vary according to the LGA contacts available on the module.

Pinouts

The definition of pinouts offers video interfaces including RGB, Camera Series Interface (CSI), Display Port and LVDS and connection interfaces, up to 10 PCIe lanes. Some special pins support antenna signals for wireless technologies.

Integrates benefits

For booming up IoT markets, the OSM integrates benefits of modular embedded computing in material expense, board-level space, and communication interfaces. The system adopted OSM has potential usage in harsh industrial environments in edge and industrial IoT.
